  • From April to Mid-May

This duration marks the end of spring and beginning of summer. This is the busiest time in the Leh as tourist throng in large numbers. The temperature is manageable at maximum 5 deg. c. to -1 deg. c. There is now heavy snowfall and hence most of all the hotels, homestays, and guest houses are open. The weather is friendly and snow in the lakes have started melting revealing beautiful visual treats for the tourists.

  • From Mid-May to End of May

This is the time when travellers are still streaming into the tourist hotspot. However, in some places, there are landslides due to snow melting. The temperature during this time remains 16 deg. c. to 3 deg. c. minimum. It is better to travel by Air at this time. Flights are available from many cities like Srinagar and Delhi to the main airport known as Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee.

  • June Month

By the time this humid month arrives, all the roads to Leh are clear after snow melting. It would be safe to travel by road as well. Either you can travel from Kashmir via Kargil or via Manali-Leh road. This is the best month when you will clearly see the roads as well mountainous routes of the Ladakh. Besides, the lakes will be in their right form to enjoy the scenic views. The month is vibrant and happening with cultural festivals of the locales.

  • July-August

The land in Leh-Ladakhis surprisingly fabulous for the bikers and photographers. July-August is considered the best times to visit Leh-Ladakh. The temperature is warm to themax. 25 deg. c to minimum 10 deg. c.  Road trips are safe during this period. Many festivals are held in this months in Ladakh.

  • September-October

September and October months are beautiful Seasons to visit the place. The roads are completely in the right conditions. As the peak summer season is over, the prices of the staying become reasonable. The climate starts turning from warmer to cooler towards the end of October. There are rare snowfalls in these months. Otherwise, the lakes are valleys stand out in best sights ever.

November on wards, chill freezing weather starts taking over everywhere in Leh  & Ladakh. The temperatures are at drooping low from 1 deg. maximum to -11 deg. c. minimum. The weather conditions in December and January are adverse as these are the coolest months. The roads are blocked and the rivers and lakes turn in to frozen paths. Many adventure lovers visit Chader lake, the frozen river for trekking during this time.

From November to March, it is not good or possible to travel by road due to snowfalls. This is the coldest time in Leh Ladakh and hence not best for touring.
